Kraft Bottle Carriers Cut to Your Bottles and Cans
A bottle carrier keeps each bottle in its own cell and gives the customer one handle to lift the lot. We size the cells to your glass and print the outside in your colours, or leave it plain brown.

Who uses kraft bottle carriers?
Small breweries and cider makers use them for four and six packs sold at the taproom door. Farm shops put two bottles of pressed juice in one. Delis sell olive oil and vinegar pairs in a slim carrier with windows.
Gift sellers like them too. A three-bottle carrier with the labels showing through arched windows makes a gift that needs no wrapping.
Carriers sit in our kraft boxes for food and drink makers, beside gable and bakery boxes that serve the same counters.
Open carrier or closed carrier?
Our photos show both kinds. The open style has a tall spine with a finger hole, and the bottle necks stand up between the walls. Customers see the caps and labels straight away.
The closed style looks more like a tall box. The top folds over and the handle hole runs through both layers, and windows on the front show the bottles inside.
| Style | Looks like | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Open carrier | Low walls, tall centre spine, necks showing | Beer, cider and soft drinks at the counter |
| Closed carrier | Tall box with a fold-over handle top | Gift pairs and trios of oil, wine or spirits |
| Carrier with windows | Closed body with arched cut-outs | Bottles whose label you want on show |
| Picnic carrier | Low box with a handle bar across the top | Mixed jars and bottles for a hamper |
How do the dividers keep bottles apart?
The walls inside are part of the same die-cut sheet. As you push the carrier open, the dividers swing out and form separate cells. Nothing needs slotting in by hand.
Each cell stops one bottle knocking into the next. That matters for glass, where the clink of two bottles touching is the sound customers least want to hear on the walk home.
What size carrier fits my bottles?
Measure the widest part of one bottle, usually the shoulder or the base, and its full height including the cap. Send those numbers along with how many bottles go in each carrier.
The starting sizes below assume standard 330 ml to 750 ml bottles. They are only a guide; we cut every carrier to the glass you actually use.
- 2 bottles: about 170 × 85 × 250 mm inside
- 3 bottles: about 250 × 85 × 250 mm inside
- 4 pack: about 170 × 170 × 250 mm inside
- 6 pack: about 250 × 170 × 250 mm inside
Cans are shorter and straighter than bottles. If you sell both, we can make two versions with the same artwork.
Which kraft board works for a bottle carrier?
Open four and six packs are usually made from brown kraft corrugated, which gives the spine and walls more body. Slim gift carriers for two or three bottles are often folding board, which takes fine print and neat window edges.
We look at your bottles and suggest the board when we quote. For a pale inside face, white-lined kraft can be used on request.
Can you print a logo on a kraft bottle carrier?
Yes. The spine above the handle is the best spot for a logo, because it faces the customer when the carrier stands on a shelf. The side panels suit a short line about what is inside.
One colour on brown board looks right for craft drinks. A coloured band around the base, like the teal band in one of our photos, gives a range a family look without printing every surface.
Full colour prints a little darker on kraft than on white. If you want a quick idea of placement, you can try your logo in Design Your Box before you ask for a quote.
Do bottle carriers need windows?
Windows suit a closed carrier, where the bottle would otherwise be hidden. Arched shapes look neat on tall bottles, and the label shows through without the customer opening anything.
Open carriers do not need them, because the necks and labels are already on show. We cut them open or add clear film behind, whichever you prefer.
What goes wrong with bottle carriers?
We see the same few problems when a carrier is ordered from a guess rather than a real bottle.
- The cell is cut to the bottle body, but the shoulder is wider, so bottles jam.
- The height ignores a swing-top or wax-dipped cap, and the spine sits too low to grip.
- A window is placed where the label is not, so the customer sees bare glass.
- Cans and bottles are expected to share one carrier and neither fits well.
- The carrier is used as a shipping box. Carriers are for carrying out of the shop; for posting, put them inside a plain kraft shipping box.
Can a bottle carrier work as a gift pack?
Yes, and it is one of the easiest gift packs to put together. A closed three-bottle carrier with arched windows needs only a tag on the handle to look finished.
Mother's Day, Father's Day and wedding favours are busy times for small drinks makers. A short printed line inside the top flap, such as a thank-you or a serving tip, gives the customer something to read when they open it.
Mixed sets work as well. One cell can hold a bottle and the next a jar of chutney, as long as you tell us the size of each item.
Using carriers at the counter and on the shelf
Flat carriers take very little room behind a bar. Fold a few before opening and keep the rest flat.
On a shelf, a row of filled carriers with the spine facing out reads like a small display. Customers pick one up by the handle and take it to the till.
Always lift a filled carrier from the handle and support the base with your other hand when you set it down on a hard surface.
How do I order kraft bottle carriers?
Send a photo of your bottle next to a ruler, the number of bottles per carrier, the quantity and the print you have in mind. A written quote comes back with your price, which starts from £0.25 per unit for simple carriers.
Next, a designer lays your artwork over the carrier dieline and sends a free proof to edit as many times as you like. After you approve it, we make the carriers in 4–6 business days and deliver them free by tracked UK delivery in 2–3 business days.
Crushed corners, a print fault or a size slip on our side? Send pictures of the faulty carriers inside 10 days, and a reprint or refund follows.

Questions About Kraft Bottle Carriers
Straight answers from the people who cut and print the boxes. Open any question to read the reply.
Can a kraft bottle carrier hold cans as well as bottles?
It can be made for either. Cans are shorter and straighter, so we usually cut a separate carrier for them rather than one that fits both loosely.
Do the dividers in a bottle carrier come loose?
No. The walls are cut from the same sheet as the carrier and fold out as it opens, so there are no loose parts to lose.
Can I get a bottle carrier for just two bottles?
Yes. A two-bottle carrier is common for oil and vinegar pairs or a gift of two drinks. Send the bottle sizes and we cut the cells to match.
Will a bottle carrier fit a swing-top bottle?
Yes, if you give us the height with the clip closed. We set the spine height so the handle still sits above the tops.
Can the handle on a bottle carrier be printed?
The spine around the handle prints like any other panel. It is often the best place for the logo because it faces out on a shelf.
Is a kraft bottle carrier suitable for posting bottles?
A carrier is made for carrying from the shop. For posting, place it inside a shipping box or use our jar and bottle packs, which are built for transit.
Can you add windows to a closed bottle carrier?
Yes. Arched or rectangular windows can be cut where the labels sit, left open or backed with clear film.
Do bottle carriers come folded?
No. They arrive flat to save space and fold out by hand. The dividers open into cells as you square up the carrier.
Can I have a different design on each side of the carrier?
Yes. Each panel can carry its own artwork. Our designers lay it all out on the dieline and show you on the proof.
What should I measure for a bottle carrier quote?
The widest point of the bottle, its full height with the cap on, and how many bottles go in each carrier. A photo beside a ruler helps.
Can a bottle carrier match my labels?
We can print a spot colour close to your label colour. Colours on brown kraft look warmer, so we show you how it will look on the proof.
Can I order carriers in plain brown with no print?
Yes. Plain kraft carriers are a common choice, and you can add a sticker or a stamp later.
